Henry County Animal Care & Control

Donating Options

The Henry County Animal Care and Control Department accepts donations daily at our facility on Hampton Street in McDonough. Some of the items we are always in need of are listed below. Keep in mind that items you may use for your pet at home are not always ideal in a shelter atmosphere. We strive for safety and cleanliness above all.

Items needed daily:

  • Dry/canned dog and cat food
  • Dry/canned puppy and kitten food
  • All sizes of Milk Bone dog treats (Milk Bone type treats only)

  • One piece dog bed
  • One-piece dog beds (Nothing with a zipper or a foam pad insert)
  • Bleach
  • Ping pong balls / “wiffle type” practice golf balls (they make fabulous and sterilize-able cat toys!)
  • Washable/sterilize-able “Kong type” dog toys (No stuffed toys or rawhide chews – they can’t be reused and pose a choking hazard)
