Council On Aging

The Henry County Council on Aging is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of nineteen (19) volunteers who serve as directors. Directors are selected by each District's commissioner and City Council members. The council's primary objective is to support programs that serve Henry County senior citizens. Supported programs include Meal-on-Wheels, Nutrition Supplements, In-Homes Services, Senior Centers, and Volunteer Activities. The council members serve as advocates on behalf of the senior citizens of Henry County.

The Council’s primary fundraising event is the Miles-for-Meals Campaign which is held annually on the first Saturday in May.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Henry County Council on Aging, obtain information about the Miles-for-Meals Walk, or find out more information about the Henry County Council on Aging can do so by Phone (770) 288-6975.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  2. No refunds for no shows.
  3. It is your responsibility to verify dates and times of departure and return.
  4. Your consideration is asked. Many of our trips have a waiting list and if you cancel at the last minute or don’t show up, you may deprive someone else of being able to attend.

Nothing can kill a program quicker than everyone waiting until the last minute to register. If you would like to participate in trips, please register well in advance of the registration deadline. At some point we must determine if the enrollment is sufficient to hold the trip. If the minimum is not met, we will cancel that trip. Your cooperation will assist us in providing the best organization and administration of our programs.

Have some spare time on your hands?
Senior Services can help you fill it

Many homebound Senior Adults in Henry County can no longer prepare their own meals and would really appreciate someone delivering one to them. In one hour or less you could be that someone.

It only takes an hour to give back to our Senior Adults.  If you’d rather help in another way – give us a call – we have other volunteer opportunities!
