Vincent R. Scott joined the Henry County Board of Commissioners as the Risk Management Director in October of 2013. The Henry County BOC Risk Management Program includes acquisition and administration of fiduciary multi-line casualty/liability policies, contractual risks transfer mechanisms, and safety training programs. As director, Vincent identifies and manages the risk exposures facing the County in order to protect all assets of the organization. In addition he directs, implements and plans safety programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident free work environment for all County operations.
Vincent attended Savannah State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science. He also graduated from Columbia Southern University where he received a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Safety and Health with a concentration in Environmental Management.
Vincent has worked for local and state governments for several years starting with the City of Savannah Water Supply and Treatment Operation, as well as the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division, the University System of Georgia at Augusta State University and most recently as the Risk Management Safety Officer for the Augusta-Richmond County Government.
Vincent was recognized by the Association County Commissioners of Georgia in its spring 2015 edition of Georgia County Government magazine for his development and implementation of an Ergonomics program in Henry County that has proven to be effective, efficient and sustainable. He resides in McDonough with his wife Jasmine and their two children.
